Colossians 3:1-3 - “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.  Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.  For you died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.”

When my husband and I had been married a few years, we began to walk through a new neighborhood where new homes were in the process of being built.  We would look at all of the beautiful new things there and dream of what it would be like to live there.  One day, as we were walking through it, my husband looked at me and said,  “You know, I think we could live here!”  Well, I had never thought that before, but I was willing to change my thinking!  I had never lived in a new house in my life!  I didn’t think it was possible!  Thank God, my husband thought differently.  He didn’t see that neighborhood as one we could just walk through, He saw it as one we could live in

Guess where we live now? ...In one of those new homes in that new neighborhood!

Resurrection living comes from resurrection life.  You have a new life, in a new place, with new power.  Everything is new!

This scripture is wanting to inspire us to “move in” to the new neighborhood of resurrection life in Christ!  Since we have a new life, sharing Christ’s resurrection from the dead, seek those new things that are in the new neighborhood!  Don’t just “walk through the neighborhood, move in!

Leave the graveclothes in the graveyard where they belong and “move in” to your new place, with the new stuff of heaven.  Although you still walk on this earth, you don’t live from this earth.   You’ve got the life of heaven in you!

“You should have as little desire for this world as a dead person does.  Your real life is in heaven with Christ and God” (Living)
