Colossians 2:9-10 - “For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.” 

There is  an area in Canada where people go to hunt and fish during the spring and summer months.  The ground is frozen there most of the year, but when it thaws in the summer, it gets very muddy and “ruts” are formed on the dirt roads by the tires of the trucks driving on them.   When the road refreezes, the ruts become permanent for miles.  There are signs posted on these roads  that read:  “Choose your rut carefully. You will be in it for the next 20 miles!” 

How many of us have made a “rut” out of going our own way, instead of living in our “completeness  in Christ.”  For whatever reason, we continue on in it, thinking that “the way it’s been is the way that it will be.”  

God’s word will get you out of your  rut!  It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been there - 20 minutes or 20 years - Jesus Christ gives you His fullness for all of your emptiness.      

No matter how crooked, how low or how high it seems the road you’re on is  from God, remember this scripture; “you have everything when you have Christ, and you are filled with God through your union with Christ.  He is the highest Ruler, with authority over every other power.” (Living Bible) 

Since all fullness is in Christ and you share in that fullness, there is no rut that He cannot fill. “Every valley is filled, every mountain brought low,  the crooked places are made straight and the rough places smooth!  “(Isaiah 40:4-5)
