December Partner Letter 2017

Dear Partner,

When I received the text asking me to receive the offering, I was standing in my kitchen with my precious granddaughter Caroline.  She was 6 at the time.  “Caroline,” I said,  “they want me to receive the offering for the service tonight at Kindle the Flame, the women’s conference at Rhema.”

She immediately stopped what she was doing, looked at me and said, “Wait – did you say it was an offering?”  “Yes,” I answered.  She then quickly ran over to the hallway and picked up an envelope that belonged to her containing 5 one dollar bills.  She took out one of the bills and said, “Here, take this.”

“Do you want me to put this in the Rhema offering,” I asked?  She nodded her head yes. “What do you want me to tell them – why do you want to give this” I asked her, to which she sweetly and strongly replied,

“Because I love God …and I want others to know Him.”

“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life.” (Jn. 3:16-17)

Merry Christmas, dear friends and partners!  We are thrilled to finish another year of telling our world of the new life, new hope and joy that Jesus brings!  The future is bright, and there still is much to do before Jesus returns, because, as Caroline said,

…”We love God and want others to know Him!”            `
